Weather Outlook

More April Showers
Another day of sunny spells and April showers is in store for today but with some subtle differences from Friday. Whilst the heaviest and most frequent showers were across north-western Britain yesterday, today will see the main focus of the showers towards the south and east as pressure rises for a time from the northwest.
It is a chilly start to the day across all areas with a touch of frost having formed overnight in places. There is a fair amount of dry and bright weather around though with some good sunny spells to be had, but a scattering of showers are already affecting central and eastern districts. These showers will become more widespread during today, especially across southern and eastern areas where they will turn heavy at times with a risk of hail and thunder. There will still be some decent sunny spells in-between the showers however, and across much of northern Britain and Ireland the afternoon shou ld be generally dry and bright before cloud and rain reaches the far northwest this evening. It will be a chilly day with temperatures reaching 12°C at best, and feeling cool in the northerly breeze.
